So it has been decided… Next marathon will be in Nice at 9th of November. It should be a really nice one when it comes to views. Whole route between Nice and Cannes leads just on the Mediterranean seaside. Considering that we both, me and my Wife, love the South of France, Alpes Maritimes (or as they are calling that region here French Riviera). So coming back there in different time than Summer would be nice and connecting that with running marathon will be great…
Anyway… For the first time I’m required to provide medical cert from my GP. Never heard about such a requirement. Of course, I have just run my first marathon and maybe just in Ireland medical cert is not required… For sure I will need that piece of document for marathon in Nice and Paris. Cert needs to be less than one year old to be valid. So additional cost of a visit to GP on the top of marathon costs, flights and accommodation. But that’s running, isn’t it?
There is one more thing. I would like to run another marathon in 2014 ideally start of start of June, start of September or start of November. But I cannot make my mind. Have found nice runs in Helsinki – 16/08/2014 (just one day after holidays so don’t think it is a contender), Marathon des Escargots (Portarlington; Co. Laois – 12/07/2014) or Verona (5/10/2014). I need to pick something. Maybe you can help with that. Maybe something in Poland…
