Tomorrow… not as early as usual but still morning I will start my first official Ultra Marathon (that one in Sixmilebrodge where I got lost doesn’t count). 10AM it will start… and I’m not ready. I was sick for last coouple of days, couldn’t run. Was just walking, but it’s not the same. Apatate still same so my figure is suffering cause of that…
I know that I will be able to finish and probably will finish before sweeper Don, which means below 5 hours (hope for that). Confident? Not fully sure about my fitness level but mentally is much better. So time to start. Start my journey to Ultra running. Donadea 50K – Irish Championchips and I’m taking part in that venue. As amatour but always. Heard so many good things about that run. Seems that everybody is enjoying that race. And I will do the same. Slowly but steady to the finishing line…

I I hope you enjoy it Alan – it’s a fantastic run. Really enjoyed it last year and the trail aspect of it with tough wet conditions really added to the experience. Hope the new surface doesn’t detract from it. Not much different from a marathon – finish the ninth loop and then just one to go! Enjoy!!
