Usually these are helping me to get on my feet again… But not this time, today I was very exhausted. I was falling asleep after I just got my breakfast.
I think I overdid a little bit with training lately. Adding to that late hours of getting to sleep and waking up quite early just left me really fatigue. That’s not a great sign if you are just two weeks before marathon. So have decided to do the ‘off day’ today accommodate tiredness and make sure that ‘off day’ will fall just before marathon…
But shouldn’t be blaming tiredness for that. Problem is getting to bed so late. So, to solve that issue I need to go to bed now really, problem is… still need to train with weights.
Going back to image from the beginning of the post. These creams are really working. When something is swollen – Altacet, when in pain – Voltarol, when stiff muscle – Deep Heat. You can’t forget all favourite is Sudocream (it’s not just for babies) for scorches. There is just one more thing you need – plaster, nipple plaster… Runners know 😉

HI,
Don’t forget to plan your taper for Cork, especially if you are feeling tired. Here’s a link to some typical info.
http://www.marathontraining.com/marathon/m_taper.html
A guideline is in week -2 not more then 50% of usual miles, in week-1 not more then 30%, the training is done now it’s just gathering your resources.
Have you a target time or pacing strategy in mind yet?
Have a blast in Cork
At the moment I’m doing 2 x 15 km a day. Next Sunday off. Then lower millage to about 25 km a day and Saturday and Sunday off again…
I would like to finish first. That’s a goal but if that would be in 3:45 or 3:40 I would be very happy.
Thanks for advise.
have more of them:)
Saw that… Still missing at least two on that picture…

It sounds like you are in good shape, and 3:45 will be fantastic marathon debut. You are still planning a lot of miles in run up to race, probably too many. It’s to late for any benefits to accrue but will rob you from 20 miles on when real marathon begins
Anyway enjoy your first, you only get one. I’m looking forward to detailed race teport
