I think running break was too long… if Hoka shoes now have narrow front. I had (still have one pair) 3 pairs Hokas before I bought Carbon X2 model. As per usual size is big considering other marathon shoes. Checked those in France in shop… all good – New ones again.
First run and noticed that even that I’m feeling that my third toe is not great. Probably picture on the top gave it away anyway. Yes, to say that my toes are strange is to say nothing. So, toe number two is longer than the biggest one. And then third one is exactly same length as the biggest one. You can understand now that I have small problem with finding good shoes. I always loved Hokas and never had problem with those but Carbon X2 are more narrow in front. It’s not too bad. I can try to make sure that heel will stay in the back and maybe change insole to something smaller. And it will be grand. But must say that first run was ok. I’m not fit enough to say if shoes made me a little bit quicker on the run. But will need to properly test those after changing insoles.
Tried to put in new old Hoka One OrthoLite insole but doesn’t fit well. Hmmm… Proper laces tightening and should be ok with original ones. And on Saturday I have interval session with quicker pace on 1 km stretches. Will see how that will go.
