How you preparing yourself for a run or training?
I bet it’s easy. Pair or runners, t-shirt, shorts, buffy (ok, you can have always two sets or maybe set with long sleevs). For the race you would probably add belt for gels, calf compressions. Am I correct?
I wish I was there… But definitely will go next year and will try to do 77 km route.
My coach Don Hannon and some others from the club where there to run and they are delighted now. Below you can find Don’s report from that run. Enjoy…
Forgot to mention that. I’m official runner, have my Athletics Club Ireland Membership no:
We had very nice weekend. Friends visiting us, my 10th marathon. But start from the beginning…
Last week Cezary, friend from Balina, who we have met when I have run marathon there called me asking if he can stay with us when he will be running marathons on Friday and Saturday. Of course there was no problem with that. He was comming to us on Friday evening after running marathon and on Saturday after both of us run another marathon we should pick up his Wife – Daria, with kids. That sounds like a plan so we had to put that into action…
Went somewhere? Don’t know, but looks like it unfortunately. Not long ago I haven’t got a problem to run daily 30 km for 4 days and additional two half-marathons over the weekend. Actually, it was not even two months ago. And now? Now I’m struggling to run 23-25 km a day, morning exercise making my heart to run faster and demands from me more oxygen (that was never the case before) and last but not least getting big cramps at the end of marathon (last two)…
Second run from Dublin series and I could not run… Instead of running on the streets of Swords I was lying in my bed for whole weekend with flu and fever of 39 degrees. It has to be some kind of a curse that I cannot run any of these Dublin series runs.
Psalm 26:2:
“Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind”
Don’t believe in such a things but that is fishy…
That will be very short post…
What a week… Motherboard in our main PC at home just burned. Nice, now need to wait couple of months to replace it. And the beginning of the Dublin Series hasn’t went well for me. I have mixed days, it was on Saturday and I have somehow ‘encoded’ in my mind that it will be on Sunday, so I missed it. Last thing, but that is a regular recently, I’m very tired. Had to take day of today. Hopefully that will allow me to gather more strength towards Ballina Marathon.
It’s official now…
I have joined Marathon Club Ireland. My member no is 221.
Best club when it comes to running marathons in Ireland, so I’m very happy now. Will get help with running and with getting races under my belt…
